Welcome to PELNA.
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the PELNA mobile app, website, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using PELNA, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use PELNA.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your PELNA account and associated data at any time in the app through Settings → Account Actions → Delete account. If you cannot access the app, email support@pelnaapp.com. See Section 10 — Account Deletion below for what is deleted, what may remain with other household members, and how subscriptions are handled.
1. About PELNA
PELNA is a household organization app designed to help families manage shared responsibilities, chores, reminders, child tasks, rewards, pet care, and routine home maintenance.
PELNA is intended to help with organization and communication. It does not replace professional advice, including medical, veterinary, legal, financial, safety, or emergency guidance.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to legally agree to these Terms to use PELNA.
Children may only use PELNA with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Child profiles and child access are intended to be created, managed, and controlled by a parent or guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising child use of the app and managing what information, tasks, rewards, or household details are shared with children.
3. Accounts and Household Access
To use certain features of PELNA, you may need to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login information secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
PELNA allows household members to share tasks, chores, reminders, child assignments, and reward information. By inviting someone into your household account, you understand that certain household information may be visible to that person based on their role and permissions.
Only invite people you trust.
4. Parent, Guardian, and Child Features
PELNA may allow parents or guardians to:
Create child profiles
Assign tasks or chores
Track completed tasks
Manage reward or allowance totals
Add comments or descriptions related to rewards
Limit child access to certain features
Allow children to view and complete assigned tasks
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that child use of PELNA is appropriate for their household.
PELNA does not independently verify family relationships, parental authority, custody arrangements, or household permissions. The adult account holder is responsible for managing access appropriately.
5. Task, Reminder, and Suggestion Features
PELNA may provide suggested household tasks, pet care reminders, child chore ideas, maintenance schedules, tips, or other organizational content.
These suggestions are provided for convenience only. You are responsible for deciding whether a task, reminder, schedule, or suggestion is appropriate for your family, home, child, pet, or situation.
Examples:
Pet care reminders are not veterinary advice.
Household maintenance reminders are not professional repair or safety advice.
Child chore suggestions are not parenting, medical, or developmental advice.
Reward or allowance tracking is a household organization tool and not financial advice.
6. Subscriptions and Paid Features
PELNA may offer free features, paid features, subscriptions, trials, or promotional access.
Subscription pricing, billing period, renewal terms, and included features will be shown before purchase.
If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your purchase, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their terms and policies.
Unless canceled before renewal, subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing period.
You are responsible for managing or canceling your subscription through the platform where you purchased it.
Deleting your PELNA account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse PELNA or use it for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
You may not:
Access or attempt to access another user’s account without permission
Interfere with the security or operation of the app
Upload harmful code, malware, or disruptive content
Use PELNA to harass, threaten, or harm others
Misrepresent your identity or relationship to a household
Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Attempt to copy, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit the app or its systems
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account is being misused or creates risk to PELNA, other users, or the service.
8. User Content
You may enter information into PELNA, including names, tasks, reminders, notes, household details, reward activity, pet information, and other content.
You remain responsible for the content you enter.
By using PELNA, you give us permission to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the app’s features, support your account, operate the service, troubleshoot issues, and improve PELNA.
You should not enter sensitive information that is not needed for household organization.
9. Privacy
Your use of PELNA is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please review our Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, how we use it, how child-related information is handled, and what choices you have.

10. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your PELNA account and associated personal information.

Please include the email address associated with your PELNA account and state that you are requesting account deletion.
Once we receive your request, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before deleting the account.
When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, platform compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
If your account includes a household, child profiles, shared tasks, reward tracking, or household members, deleting the account may remove or limit access to related household information.
If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, deleting your PELNA account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription directly through Apple or Google to stop future billing.

11. Cancellation and Refunds
Subscription cancellations must be handled through the platform where the purchase was made, such as Apple App Store or Google Play.
Refund requests are subject to the policies of the platform where the purchase was made.
PELNA does not control Apple or Google refund decisions.
12. App Updates and Availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of PELNA at any time.
We may release updates to improve features, fix bugs, improve security, or comply with platform requirements.
Some features may require an internet connection, a supported device, the latest app version, or an active subscription.
We do not guarantee that PELNA will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.
13. Third-Party Services
PELNA may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, subscriptions, payments, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, or other app operations.
Examples may include Apple, Google, RevenueCat, hosting providers, database providers, and notification services.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies.
14. Intellectual Property
PELNA, including its name, logo, branding, design, features, text, software, and related content, is owned by PELNA or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from PELNA without written permission.
These Terms do not give you ownership of PELNA or its intellectual property.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
PELNA is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that PELNA will meet your needs, prevent household issues, ensure task completion, resolve family responsibilities, or operate without interruption or error.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PELNA and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages.
This includes damages related to loss of data, loss of access, subscription issues, household disputes, missed reminders, incomplete tasks, reward disagreements, pet care decisions, home maintenance decisions, or use of the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to PELNA will not exceed the amount you paid to use PELNA in the twelve months before the claim.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PELNA and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
Your use or misuse of PELNA
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of another person’s rights
Content or information you enter into the app
Household access or permissions you create or approve
Disputes between household members
18. Termination
You may stop using PELNA at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, misused the app, or used PELNA in a way that could harm the service.
Termination of your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. You must cancel subscriptions through the applicable platform.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, by email, or by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of PELNA after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, unless applicable law
